Kvadrat A textile house founded in Ebeltoft in 1968 that makes upholstery and curtain fabrics for architects and designers.
Louis Poulsen A Copenhagen lighting maker founded in 1874 that makes Poul Henningsen's PH lamps.
Royal Copenhagen The porcelain factory founded in Copenhagen in 1775, known for its hand-painted Blue Fluted and Flora Danica services.
The rules of the guide
- Danish, and known abroad. Every house, product and place here was founded in Denmark and is known well beyond it: in museum collections, in the Michelin Guide, in shops and homes around the world.
- Straight to the maker. Every page links to one site only: the maker's own. No shops, no affiliate links, no tracking, no paid placement.
- Only what we can show. Every fact comes from a source, and the sources are on the page for anyone who looks. What we could not source is left out.
- Kept current. Every page is checked against its sources again on a fixed schedule, and leaves the guide when what it describes is no longer made or open.
